PROPAGATION

THE BIRDMAN and Company supports efforts to prevent extinction of wildlife. Aside from our ongoing efforts to breed and release Andean Condors, we have been fortunate enough to start other conservation programs as well. Offspring from our propagation efforts are retained or offered to fellow conservationists for creating more bloodlines. The unsuitable breeding candidates are designated as ambassadors for education about their species and habitats.
In accordance with AZA guidelines, THE BIRDMAN and Company does not sell any wildlife to the pet trade, auctions, or stressful research.
Current conservation program species include: Andean Condors, Bateleur Eagles, Steppe Eagles, King Vultures, Scarlet Macaws, Blue-Throated (Caninde) Macaws, Red-Fronted Macaws, Thick-Billed Parrots, Sarus Cranes, and Double-Wattled Cassowary.
